I would like to welcome you to the website of the Department of Otolaryngology at the International Neuroscience Institute (INI) in Hanover.Having served as Director of the Department of Otolaryngology at Hannover Medical School for many years, I am delighted to now be able to contribute my extensive experience and expertise to the INI’s private clinic.
The ENT Clinic at INI offers you a wide range of modern diagnostic and therapeutic procedures – from general ear, nose, and throat medicine to highly specialized procedures. A particular focus is on the care of patients with cochlear implants for hearing rehabilitation in cases of severe hearing loss.

Professor Thomas Lenarz – Brief Biography
Professor Thomas Lenarz is a renowned expert in otology and neurotology, specialized in hearing research and cochlear implant technology. He served as the Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology at the Hannover Medical School (MHH) and is the Director of the German Hearing Center (DHZ).He is currently chairman of the department of Otolaryngology at the INI.
Prof. Lenarz has significantly advanced the field of auditory implants through his groundbreaking research on cochlear and auditory brainstem implants. Under his leadership, the ENT-clinic at Hannover Medical School has become a leading international institution for hearing research, patient care, and innovation.
